Three golfers backed by Carlsbad-headquartered TaylorMade helped Europe reclaim the Solheim Cup on Sunday, Sept. 13, beating the United States 15-13 at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands.

Charley Hull, Esther Henseleit and Julia Lopez Ramirez all competed for the winning European squad in the 20th edition of the biennial women's team event, according to CBS Sports. TaylorMade, based on Fermi Court in Carlsbad, celebrated the result on its official X account, calling it "a tremendous week in the Netherlands."

The teams entered Sunday's singles session tied 8-8. Europe then dominated, winning six of the first eight matches.

Hull, 30, ranked No. 7 in the world, led Europe out in the first match and beat American Megan Khang 3 and 2, according to the BBC. It was a turnaround for the eight-time Solheim Cup competitor, who had earned just half a point across the first two days of team play.

Hull delivered.

"Finally got our points didn't we Lottie," she said to teammate Lottie Woad after both won their singles matches, according to the BBC.

Lopez Ramirez, a 23-year-old Spaniard ranked No. 84 in the world, was a captain's pick making her Solheim Cup debut. She beat Yealimi Noh 3 and 2 to cap an unbeaten week, Sky Sports reported.

Henseleit, 27, from Germany and ranked No. 43, qualified for the European team through the Solheim Cup points standings. She lost her Sunday singles match to American Alison Lee 1 up after Lee mounted what CBS Sports described as the biggest singles comeback in Solheim Cup history, rallying from four holes down.

Lottie Woad holed the decisive putt to guarantee Europe the 14.5 points needed to win. Carlota Ciganda then sealed the victory with a 4 and 2 win over Jennifer Kupcho.

According to CBS Sports, European captain Anna Nordqvist said after the trophy ceremony: "This feels so good. There's just been so much hard work this week and in the last two years leading up to this."

Europe has now won three of the last five Solheim Cup editions. The next Solheim Cup is scheduled for 2028 at Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky.
