Two golfers on Carlsbad-based TaylorMade Golf's roster earned LPGA Tour cards for the 2027 season after finishing in the top 15 of the Epson Tour's Race for the Card standings.
TaylorMade announced on X on Monday, Oct. 5, that Amari Avery and Megha Ganne both secured their spots. The Epson Tour Championship, the developmental circuit's season finale, wrapped up Sunday, Oct. 4, at Indian Wells Golf Resort in Indian Wells, California.
Avery, a former USC standout who turned professional in 2024, finished eighth in the standings after a tie for fifth at the finale, Golfweek reported. That earned her Category 9 status on the LPGA priority list, the higher tier reserved for the top 10 finishers. Nine players had already clinched LPGA status before the finale began.
Her breakout moment came in April at the IOA Championship in Beaumont, California, where she won her first professional title at 11 under par. Golfweek reported the victory made Avery the third Black winner in Epson Tour history.
"It kind of felt like this was, this was my time," Avery told Golfweek in April after the win.
Ganne took a different path. The 2025 U.S. Women's Amateur champion and four-time Stanford All-American turned professional after graduating in June. She joined the Epson Tour nearly three months into the season, earning her spot through the LPGA Collegiate Advancement Pathway as the top-ranked Division I women's collegiate golfer, according to The Golf Wire.
At Stanford, Ganne helped lead the Cardinal to national championships in 2024 and 2026, clinching the winning point to secure the 2026 team title.
In 11 starts on the Epson Tour, Ganne won the Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic on Aug. 23 in a playoff and posted four top-10 finishes. She finished 12th in the standings, earning Category 16 LPGA status.
The two cards cap a strong stretch for TaylorMade's athlete pipeline. Fellow roster member Sandy Scott won back-to-back titles on the Korn Ferry Tour in late September and early October, earning a PGA Tour card for 2027 and climbing to 87th in the Official World Golf Ranking, Sky Sports reported.
Three TaylorMade-affiliated golfers earning tour cards across two circuits in the span of weeks is notable for a company headquartered in Carlsbad. All three will begin competing on their respective tours in 2027.
