Two golfers backed by Carlsbad-based TaylorMade Golf claimed the top two spots on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, each earning a PGA Tour card for 2027.
Ross Steelman finished No. 1 and Sandy Scott finished No. 2 after the season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Championship at The Federal Club in Glen Allen, Virginia, on Sunday, Oct. 11. TaylorMade announced the 1-2 sweep on X on Monday, Oct. 12, calling the pair top of their class.
Steelman overtook Scott for the top spot with a top-15 finish at the championship, according to PGA Tour coverage. Scott had entered the final event with a 23-point lead. Steelman's surge since July included two victories and a stretch as the tour's most consistent player, Golfweek reported.
Both players won twice this season.
By finishing first on the points list, Steelman also earned exemptions into the 2027 Players Championship and the 2027 U.S. Open.
Scott, 28, hails from Nairn, Scotland. He mounted his own late-season charge, winning back-to-back Korn Ferry Tour events: the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship on Sunday, Sept. 20, and the Compliance Solutions Championship on Sunday, Oct. 4. As we reported Oct. 6, those consecutive wins pushed Scott to No. 1 on the points list before Steelman reclaimed the spot at the finale.
Scott's path to the PGA Tour included a career-threatening wrist injury in 2019 that required two surgeries. "I was in some really low times and didn't know if I'd ever play golf again," Scott told Golf Channel after his Sept. 20 win. "When I did come back from it in college, I had this overwhelming sense of perspective that I'm just happy to be out here competing."
The 1-2 finish caps a strong stretch for TaylorMade's athlete program. On Monday, Oct. 5, the company announced that roster members Amari Avery and Megha Ganne earned LPGA Tour cards for 2027 after finishing in the top 15 of the Epson Tour's Race for the Card standings, as we reported that week.
Both Steelman and Scott will be PGA Tour rookies when the 2027 season opens at The American Express, Jan. 21-24.
