Sage Creek's varsity girls' field hockey team lost 4-0 at Clairemont on Wednesday, Aug. 26. The non-conference road shutout dropped the Bobcats to 0-1 in their season opener.

Clairemont, which entered the game at 3-0, controlled both halves at its San Diego campus on Ute Drive, according to the game summary on MaxPreps. The Captains held Sage Creek scoreless throughout. The final score was reported to MaxPreps by S. Bello.

The Bobcats' JV squad also traveled to Clairemont that evening for a 6:15 p.m. non-conference matchup. A final score for that game has not been confirmed.

They return home to host Helix on Monday, Aug. 31, at 5 p.m. at their Cannon Road campus in Carlsbad, according to the team's MaxPreps schedule.
