Team USA defeated Europe 13-11 on Tuesday, Sept. 8, to win the 2026 Ping Junior Solheim Cup at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, Netherlands.

Asterisk Talley, the 17-year-old who signed a full equipment deal with Carlsbad-based TaylorMade Golf in March 2025, played three matches and earned 1.5 points for the American squad, according to TaylorMade Golf on X.

The Americans built a commanding lead on Day 1, claiming 9.5 of 12 available points in foursomes and four-ball on Monday, Sept. 7, according to Golfweek. They needed just 2.5 points in Tuesday's singles to retain the title.

Europe made them sweat.

England's Annabel Peaford rallied to defeat Talley 1-up in the lead singles match, winning three of the last four holes after trailing by two with four to play, according to Sky Sports. That sparked a broader European charge that netted 8.5 of 12 singles points.

Kelly Zhang sealed the victory for the Americans with a 2-up win over Carolina Perez-Tasso.

"It's easy to coach a team this insanely talented," Team USA captain Morgan Pressel said after the win. "It was so fun to watch both sides and they all showed so much heart."

Talley, from Chowchilla, California, is ranked No. 1 in the Rolex American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) rankings. She won the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship in August, beating Anna Iwanaga of Japan 8-and-6, according to CBS Sports. She also won the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball in 2024.

The Junior Solheim Cup marked her third appearance on Team USA, having also competed in 2023 and 2024. She has committed to play college golf at Stanford after graduating high school.

TaylorMade, headquartered in Carlsbad, signed Talley to a full equipment agreement on March 19, 2025, when she was 16.

The United States now leads the all-time Junior Solheim Cup series 9-4-1. Past participants include Rose Zhang, Lexi Thompson and the Korda sisters, all of whom went on to compete in the senior Solheim Cup. That event begins Friday, Sept. 11, at the same Bernardus Golf course.
