Tickets for the annual Taste of Carlsbad Village go on sale Friday, Sept. 4, at 9 a.m. The event has sold out every year since its inception, with all 900 tickets gone in under 36 hours in 2022.
The Carlsbad Village Association is offering 1,000 tickets for the Thursday, Oct. 8, food-and-drink walking tour through downtown Carlsbad Village. The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and features 32 participating restaurants, including Jeune et Jolie, Campfire, Pizza Port, Bluewater Grill, Lola's, Nick's on State and GelatoLove. Twelve beverage brands will pour at sip stops hosted inside Village retail shops, giving attendees a chance to browse local businesses between bites.
Three ticket tiers
- Food Only — $55: Access to all 32 restaurant stops. Each ticket holder gets a passport and a reusable stainless-steel spork.
- Food + Sip Stops — $70 (21+): Everything above, plus access to beverage stops and a reusable stainless-steel sip cup.
- VIP Experience — $120 (21+): Limited to 100 guests. Entry begins at 4 p.m. with a private champagne reception at Comman Goods, a home decor shop and event space in the Village. VIP holders also receive special swag, prize opportunities and a parting gift.
The CVA recommends buyers be ready at 9 a.m. sharp when sales open, according to its website. A separate CVA preview noted the event has sold out every year, sometimes in under an hour. In 2021, 725 tickets sold in less than 72 hours when the cap was smaller.
Live musicians will perform along the route throughout the evening. Tickets are non-refundable but transferable.
The CVA also held a sold-out Taste of Carlsbad Village: Brunch Edition on Saturday, May 16, signaling continued demand for the format heading into fall.
