Asterisk Talley, a staff golfer for Carlsbad-based TaylorMade, won the ANNIKA Invitational by four strokes. She became only the second player to defend the title in the event's 18-year history.
Talley, of Chowchilla, California, posted rounds of 66, 69 and 67 at The Golf Club of Georgia's Lakeside Course in Alpharetta, Georgia, finishing at 14-under-par 202, according to the AJGA. The victory was her seventh AJGA win and fifth Invitational title of 2026.
The 18th Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex brought together the top 72 female junior golfers from around the world. Talley controlled the tournament wire to wire.
Holding a three-stroke lead entering the final round, she birdied the par-4 fourth and fifth holes to pull away early. She added birdies on the 11th, 15th and 16th holes to close with a 5-under 67 and seal the win.
"I was not worrying about the field and just trying to play my own game," Talley said after the round. "I focused on staying in my own head because the weather and the conditions can change at any time."
Talley is ranked No. 1 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and has given verbal intent to attend Stanford in fall 2027, according to AmateurGolf.com. Her 2026 season includes wins at the Fortinet Stanford Invitational in February, the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley in March and the U.S. Women's Amateur in August. She also headlined the U.S. team that won the PING Junior Solheim Cup, 13-11, at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands on Sept. 7-8.
Grace Carter of Jupiter, Florida, finished second at 10-under 206. Courtney Grace of Birmingham, Alabama, was third at 7-under 209.
The win adds to a strong fall for TaylorMade athletes. As we reported Monday, the Carlsbad equipment maker's golfers swept the top two spots on the final Korn Ferry Tour points list, with Sandy Scott earning back-to-back wins in late September and early October.
TaylorMade congratulated Talley on X on Monday, Oct. 12, calling the result another big win for its roster of athletes.
Talley's sixth career AJGA Invitational title earned her an exemption into the 2027 Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club. The start will be her 11th in an LPGA event.
